The Other Reviews
=================
MUSIC
=====
Albums
======
Northside - Chicken Rhythms (Factory)
This album is the debut album of the great band Northside, it features the
hits, 'Take 5', and 'Shall we Take a trip'. Also on the album are a great
selection of songs, the best ones include 'Weight of Air' and 'Yeah Man' and
also 'Who's to blame'.
Erasure - Chorus (Mute)
This album has just been released, and I must say it is absolutely (may I swear
here? - oh well) fabulous, just right in fact for a followup to 'Wild!', it
includes the current hit 'Love to Hate You' and of course 'Chorus'. The album
is varied like all other Erasure albums, and it could be the best one yet.
'Perfect Stranger' is the best on it I think!
Electronic - Electronic
Barney Sumner and Johnny Marr join up to make the sort of music New Order has
been trying to make for a long time, (New Order are releasing a new album to
those fans that await.) including 'Get the message' and 'Feel Every Beat'. What
is missing is 'Getting away with it', which I thought was absolutley excellent.
Anyway, a little collaboration with Pet Shop Boys for one song, 'the Patience
of a Saint', and the beautiful Oboe on 'Some Distant Memory'. To finish, just
goin' get this album.
SINGLES
=======
Vic Reeves - Born Free, Dizzy
The first single by Vic Reeves, was B-sided by 'Oh! Mr.Songwriter' and both
sides were great, Dizzy a collaboration with The Wonderstuff, is an old song,
but Vic Reeves makes it much better. Even Bob does his bit of singing on this
one.
Tours/Gigs
==========
Carter The Unstoppable Sex Machine
==================================
This concert, I am going to go to on Sunday 3rd Novemeber at Newcastle, the
date is 1st of November, so I can't really tell you what it was like, I haven't
been yet. But I know if it is Carter's usual standard then it is worth the
trip.
Inspiral Carpets
=================
At SOuth Sheilds, Temple Park. This was one of the best gigs I have ever been
to, a good long play list and was absolutely packed out, and was great. If you
get the chance to see them play live, cos its worth the money.

Other stuff (still)
===================
Alll the above was Indie stuff, which is much better than the poppy crap, rappy
s(!!!) and Vanilla Icecream stuff. So I have not put any of these reviews on.
The only good Dance song at the time of writing is Digital Insanity's.
